Banff Transportation and Tours started out in the transportation industry as a one-car taxi operation in 1954. From then the company has expanded into many diverse areas including Taxis, Limousines, Motor Coaches and Transit operations. The same family that started the company remains operating the various areas of the operations, and stays active in supporting and participating in many aspects of the community. The businesses are all tourism related, as is the area that they originate. The transportation business is serving Western Canada. The hotel is part of the Sheraton - Star Wood Group.
